Good news is the 3rd time WAS the charm, I got all 4 doors attached to their 8 non-mortised hinges with only the gap between the two doors on the left needing a little adjustment. I'll get that done this afternoon. Then they all need to come off for painting and to finish the inside of the cabinet.
Rather than glass, I'll be using patterned metal screen to fill in the little doors.
Once the whole top section of what will be a hutch is done, I'll be mating it to the bottom cabinet of a dry sink project I finished a few months ago that I ended up not liking. The solid cherry top came out great and will be used with a different base and I'll probably tone down the radical distressed paint experiment on the base?
Dovetails or box joints on the drawers ?
I like the Cherry. Some Odie's Oil would make that grain pop and give it a nice luster.
