This is their world. Kids (even babies) today grew up with electronics.
My kid had an online business since he was 11. It's the new "mowing lawns and babysitting".
People are more transient today. It's not the neighborhood unity we once knew. Trusting your "new" neighbor with your kid is unsafe.
However -- I do have one rule. Electronics are not allowed in the bedroom. All electronics are out in a common area. Headsets are a marvelous invention.
