Feb 24, 1942: The Battle of Los Angeles: A false alarm led to an anti-aircraft barrage that lasted into the early hours of February 25. A photo published in the Los Angeles Times on February 26, 1942, has been featured in UFO conspiracy theories as evidence of an extraterrestrial visitation.

It was the closest nova in 400 years and one of the only ever seen with the naked eye.









Dorado means "golden" and is shaped like a fish. Note angle. Video released April 1984, almost three years before supernova first seen. The southern Muslim Filipinos calls Dorado...Dolphin Fish.
