Sorry to not answer more quickly. I vacillated between going off topic to reply which would have been rude or not answering at all which would also have been rude.
When I was young, my hair was very light blonde. As I got older, it grew in darker near the scalp but stayed mostly blonde. As I hit my 30s it was all kind of a mousey blondish light brown. Now that I'm 900 years old, it seems to come in even darker and my stylist of 10 years doesn't understand why I don't have more grey and won't stop going on about it.
I've colored my hair for at least 40 or more years always somewhere in the blonde family from platinum to strawberry to golden. I tried to find a picture with my roots showing my natural color but didn't have much luck except for the one below from a few years ago. I've never really have a camera capture the color right anyway. While I was looking, I found one other shot from 2021 I liked so I included it for fun.
