I harbor some of those regrets way down deep, but I also realize that what's done is done, and there ain't no going back, so I tend not to dwell on what can't be fixed.
People in particular. There are some folks I wrote out of my life years ago, and most of them are now dead, so there is no repairing those relationships even if I wanted to, which in some cases I would, and in some cases no repairs were ever possible. Again, something I tend not to dwell on. Looking backwards while moving forwards is a dangerous proposition. You might run into something rough that you didn't see because you were looking in the wrong direction.
On a side note, I've never regretted putting a tomato in a fruit salad. Because it IS a fruit, y'know? That, and a little salt, is what makes having to eat a pile of fruit bearable!

“Trouble rather the tiger in his lair than the sage among his books. For to you kingdoms and their armies are things mighty and enduring, but to him they are but toys of the moment, to be overturned with the flick of a finger.”
