I doubt they have underestimated anything. In fact quite the opposite. The gravy train of eternal war must continue unabated. Iran was always on the cards after the Ukraine soiree. I wonder who's next on the agenda after Iran.
There`s been reported that general Dan Caine and other general did warn Trump the risk , and i could also think pentagon were aware risk . But Trump wont listen , because he is dumb and because Benjamin Netanjahu command this show .

I don't think Trump is dumb, in fact I'm sure he is smarter than you or I. You just want him to be dumb because he does things you don't agree with. I might not agree with with him but he is anything but dumb.
Remind me of the risk lol. There is no real threat to America from Iran, just various sorties here and there which will help with the demonisation and escalation. It's all good for the warmongers.
