Looks like the war with Iran is cooking off

Like I inferred last night... it's now happened:
Four Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri conducted a round-trip bombing sortie to Iran. Strike package was reportedly 2,000 lb bombs dropped on Iran’s hardened ballistic missile facilities. They were caught returning this morning checking in with Seville Control by @thenewarea51 as PETRO 41, and confirmed that they are a flight of four aircraft.

PETRO 41-44 flight have been supported by tankers from Lajes. REACH 065 flight departed Lajes Field yesterday afternoon, followed by REACH 023. Videos of these tankers departing in daylight in 30s intervals were posted on X and will be linked in the replies.

This morning, REACH 083 flight has been towing PETRO 41 flt home to Whiteman AFB. Those tankers are currently returning to Lajes.

Overall, it looks like at least 13 tankers have been required to support 4 B-2s from Whiteman to Iran and back to Whiteman. It's possible more tankers over Iraq refuelled them before REACH 083 flight did this morning.

Significant other tanker activity continues. KC-135s operating from Chania are flying as ZEUS, with ZEUS 11-14 flying yesterday through Nicosia FIR, and another flight of four ZEUS tankers currently en route.

KC-46 and KC-135s have been operating as well from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. We've seen YETI 31-35 and YETI 51-53 yesterday, as well as YETI 54-57 and YETI 11-13 this morning. This is maintaining a 24-hour refuelling operation over Iraq for aircraft from the USAF and IDF operating in Iran.





The B-2s are on their way back to Whiteman AFB as PETRO41 flight. They checked in earlier this morning with SEVILLE CONTROL over the Straight of Gibraltar just like Op Midnight Hammer. Callsign PETRO or PEDRO.

Because Israel and the US have nearly total air supremacy over Iran, published reports say they are employing stand-in ordnance and delivery techniques instead of stand-off techniques. This means they can go after almost anything: moving targets, deep installations to carnival barkers... personalized warfare.

Jerusalem has been getting hit hard though difficult to tell what all was hit & how much damage due to Israeli censorship. Even the livecams are censoring exact locations. I'm assuming they don't want the enemy to see and make missile targeting adjustments.


Sounds like a growing number of nations are not happy with Iran's reaction and indiscriminate flailing missile attacks. The UK, France, and Germany have announced their intention to potentially carry out strikes on Iran to destroy its missile and drone launch capabilities if Iranian forces persist in their attacks.  France is sending its Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean, interrupting its deployment to the Baltic after their main Naval Base was hit. Macron held a Defense and National Security Council meeting. Did not have the French on my bingo card.

Trump says that Saudi Arabia are now actively involved in the fight against the Iranian regime.




Brits just gave permission for Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford to be used by the U.S. to strike Iranian missile facilities.
