From the second last move I was forced to have to be brutal with throwing out old albums, many of which we received as an inheritance from one relative who enjoyed highland music and dancing to the old time crooners. Along with my and my partner's mix of music from days long gone, I could not part with some of the albums or my teenage collection of 45's.
So I went out and bought one of those modern record players and was then forced to have to clean all the records, then I finally played them. Since moving again I haven't had the urge to go to all that trouble when the same music is a click away.
Still, I can't bring myself to take my albums and 45's to a thrift store and set them free.
