Well it does give us something to live for so I agree.
I am weird in that I am not interested in getting high or changing moods by chemical means. Yes there are plenty of folks who can not go a day without wine or a beer or a smoke or a ETC ETC..
I have seen to many of my band mates and childhood friends end up with less than good lives because alcohol, drugs, or chasing their next fix; almost all are dead now.. To each his own as I figure "natural selection" is alive and well.
Anything that can extend the telomeres of your cells without causing cancer is probably a good bet for life extension.
