Yesterday's "Rage Against the War Machine" rally in America was possibly the first ever anti-war rally to be dominated by symbols of the country which started the war. Woke up today to be greeted with the trending madness...



Protesters gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC for an anti-war rally dubbed "Rage Against the War Machine". Protesters demanded peace in Ukraine and an end to US military funding for Ukraine.



Jimmy Dore's comedic sarcasm speech at the Rage Against the War Machine rally...though judging by comments on Twitter0sphere, many took it literal.

"Why are we sending that money to Nazi's in Ukraine when we could be funding Nazi's here in America struggling to buy eggs. Isn't that just like our government to neglect all the Nazi's we have here in America..."




The Rage Against The War Machine rally was a political freak show attended by Libertarians, fascists, Larouchites, and confused middle-class individuals without an independent program or perspective.

I went out to dinner last night at an expensive all cashless hotel restaurant and observed of the few people & a few early age teens, and flashing smartphones as young couples took selfies toasting with glasses of wine, I felt like I was in a dystopian parallel world. The large open room with high vaulted Victorian style ceiling with 19th century masonic symbolism decorating the tall pillars everywhere was so dark I had to pull out my pocket flashlight just to read the menu. I & few friends were seated at a large window overlooking the empty streets below and the gloomy cityscape as paper trash blew down the alleys in between the flickering neon signs and thought, yep, this is it, it's over, buckle up, we are all doomed and still most don't even know it. Meh, maybe I'm just getting older and able to see what most others cannot. On the brighter side the food & Irish coffee was excellent.
