'Far-right campaigner Tommy Robinson has left the UK after being warned by officers about
threats made against him in an Islamic State magazine urging followers to carry out attacks.
Robinson, legally known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, shared audio of the police conversation
on his X account, revealing an officer had informed him his name appeared in Yalghar,
believed to be produced by ISKP, Islamic State Khorasan Province. In the recording, the
officer states authorities had obtained intelligence encouraging individuals "to commit
violence against yourself"
Tommy Robinson.
The controversial figure announced he has now departed Britain, mirroring the actions of the
migrants he has persistently vilified, citing concerns "for my safety and the safety of my family",
according to his statement.
The Bedfordshire Police officer can be heard informing Robinson during the conversation: "So we
have received intelligence that an Isis publication has stated... are encouraging others to commit
violence against yourself." The constabulary, responsible for policing Robinson's native Luton,
verified the telephone exchange was genuine and took place on Thursday, reports the Mirror.
During the recording, Robinson enquired whether he might obtain a copy of the material, but was
advised it is probably classified as proscribed content, which UK residents are prohibited from
holding under counter- terrorism legislation. During the call, the officer proceeds to inform
Robinson that he lacks authorisation to carry weapons or "take pre-emptive action" against others.
The officer added: "Just remind, you know, because of this information, it doesn't authorise you to
carry weapons, anything like that, take any pre-emptive action against others, if you're aware of
any action.."
Accompanying the video, the 43 year old published a statement on X today declaring himself a
"priority target for ISIS" and explaining he had departed the country "to work things out" for his
own and his family's protection. He stated: "I have now left the country, I need time to work things
out for my safety and the safety of my family. I will probably have to relocate them. I will update
you when I can." A Bedfordshire Police spokeswoman verified the call's authenticity in a statement,
disclosing that an individual's name "appeared in prohibited material".
She explained: "Yesterday, officers contacted a man from Bedfordshire after being made aware that
his name appeared in prohibited material produced by a proscribed organisation. He was provided
with safeguarding advice and support in line with our standard processes."
The controversial figure also seized the moment to appeal for financial donations from his supporters,
requesting people to "help me and my family" in a reply post, which was swiftly inundated with
suggestions for Robinson to seek refuge in Israel.
Hmmmmm...... I wonder if the establishment just want him out of the country as he's gaining more and more momentum.
Doesn't he have another peace rally scheduled for May in London?
