Any gains or losses in the value of a coin or token on the market are called "unrealized returns" and aren't a gain or loss until you cash out. They only have potential value that fluctuates until they are sold — a strange state of being IMO.
Also, the losses that the big coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc., are experiencing are due in large part to the "Whales" that are selling off their sizable holdings and causing a chain reaction in the markets. The whales use their huge share of the total available coins to affect the market. I highly suspect that they will go back up once the waves created by the whales calm down.
