Jan 22, 1947: KTLA, the first commercial television station west of the Mississippi River, begins broadcasting on channel 5 in Hollywood. Bob Hope served as the emcee for KTLA's inaugural broadcast, titled as The Western Premiere of Commercial Television, which was broadcast live that evening from a garage on the Paramount Studios lot and featured appearances from many Hollywood luminaries. Bob Hope delivered what was perhaps the most famous line of the telecast when, at the program's start, he identified the new station as "KTL" – mistakenly omitting the "A" at the end of the call sign. The GREAT Trust would see Gaza controlled by a trust in which Gazans forfeit their land in exchange for tokenized property. In contrast, Project Sunrise makes no mention of what will happen to the dislocated Gazans (Somaliland?). However, it does claim that Gaza will now be host to “8-6 smart cities” where all services will be ID based and on chain. On top of this, the Gaza Strip will be used for data centers, high speed rail, Tesla factories, beachside luxury resorts, and AI-optimized smart grids.
The would-be sovereign elites are aware that nation-states are barriers to technological growth, yet nobody wants to go through the trouble of reforming them because that is impossible. The task of usurping bloat and welfare in long-standing bureaucratic structures proved far too great for even Elon Musk’s DOGE. Therefore, the creation of a private city must be done where the endemic population has no say in the matter.
