I'm told that very few of certain consumer items (radios, vehicle tires) were available to the public during the war, but certain companies continued advertising campaigns anticipating post-war business.
one thing I like about this ad; bottom right picture of the glamour lady; look close and you see a picture of a pilot on top of the unit. she's involved with the war effort too.
