There is no singular event and I don't live in a bubble or a vacuum. I have to ask permission to speak, most stories are personal for the people involved and for me.
Understand with the above in mind that what I say needs to be taken with a grain of salt. If the events can be traced to a person other than me then I must obfuscate and very little happens in a vacuum.
The 'grim reaper' is an easy tale to tell because it doesn't require obfuscation, certainly not of the apparition.
Right so old grimmy boy, looks just like a dementor! Near enough, I watched Harry Potter again just to see them, and no, they don't have rags on, you can't see the material. Deep black, 'otherworldly' and they do float. The leering aspect is really icing on the cake and in honor of BIAD's birthday I will leave you with a believe it or not.
The event transpired on greeting a person, the person walked up to me and a shadow was following them, it flashed by and took from - floating back in the other direction and giving me an ugly look. A messenger basically. I didn't say anything to the person about what was occurring a nonstarter for sure. I did tell them to seek medical attention and they did. Multiple issues, one very serious and life threatening...it's heart breaking.
And so it goes...
There is an issue with nomenclature across regions, ages, peoples. What I choose to name things causes division or labels me. I'm doomed either way the moment I start talking unless it's in the most vague terms. So I just call everything demons and get a head start on the hate and ridicule. The description even fits sometimes.
....The word " Demon " is evidently employed in this work almost as a synonym of Devil ; but, as most educated people are aware, it is derived from the Greek " Daimon," which anciently simply meant any Spirit, good or bad... wink wink
