68 years later and we still have same/similar issue. Anyone who lives around 38th parallel north and above should not buy or rely on electric cars, imo.

I live almost exactly on the 37th parallel. I mean, I could spit off my porch and hit it dead square in the middle. It's this huge black line running from horizon to horizon, east to west. So, being that close to the 37th, nowhere near the 38th, my car battery ought to be ok, shouldn't it?

Still not buying no 'lectric cars, though. I've never figured out what to do with all the time I'd be wasting every time I wanted to fill the tank back up. Gasoline takes a couple minutes, but that 'lectricity, that takes hours! I don't relish the notion of making a 6 hour trip to see the grand kids into a day-and-a-half long affair each way, just in travel time, y'know? I don't know if I even have a picnic basket big enough to pack the sammiches for such a trip!

It's bad enough that my car booster has a li-ion battery in it. Every time I have to boost a car, I have to leave it plugged up overnight to get a charge back on it. I can't imagine trying to rely on that technology to power the whole damned car!

I wanted to get me one of those 35k dollar drone clones. Thought it might be something good for the kids to play with... but then I saw they were one-way, and figured 35k for a single-shot rifle was a bit much. The name "Shaheed" probably should have clued me in - it's Arabic for "martyr", which in Arab practice also means "kamikaze".

What runs that rear propeller on those things? Is there a rubber band to wind up?
