That was a very interesting video to me. As with most things, I think it probably contains a core of "fact" around which a superstructure of "mythology", for lack of a better word, has been built.
I also think that the line of questioning may be going in an offshoot direction, and that a stronger line of inquiry may not be being explored.
Interesting that, in his discussion of the impact of the Inquisition, he equates "the core area of Christianity" with what is actually a core area of Catholicism - the two are not necessarily the same thing, especially in relation to the Inquisition.
But, altogether, It appears to be giving answers to questions no one has yet dared to ask... and that itself is interesting.
