Decorated Veteran of the Korean War, Vietnam War, War in Afghanistan, Iraq War, receiving a chest full medals plus 8 Purple Hearts and CIA from 1977–2005. His cremated remains were scattered in a HALO jump over Raeford Drop Zone, North Carolina and a portion of his ashes were returned to his birthplace of Bastrop, Texas.
