I used to have a copy of the First Earth Battalion Field Manual. Lots of hippie bullshit in it, but some things, if approached from the right angle, kinda worked. Some of those techniques could produce "super soldiers" of a sort - not like you see in movies, but people with heightened sensory awareness and threat detection, who can be counted on to win not because they have Schwarzenegger muscles or Robocop brains, but because they get there the firstest with the mostest, because they knew where to go and what to be prepared for.
But all that hippie algae-eating BS is just that, BS.
Some of the techniques could produce an individual "super soldier" here and there, but not a whole unit of them.
