I realize there are numerous 'Christian' versions...and that some (as your own) do not give credence to what was mildly described, above...while some make such 'doctrine' a central tenet of their particular path/s.
And, I suppose, I should have narrowed it down, further, with the explanation that I was addressing those, or those familiar-enough with such doctrine, to have an opinion.
To some the question might be entirely pertinent, while others (as yourself) find else-wise.
I simply find it an intriguing moral dilemma, from the perspective of my fundamental upbringing.
