She ain't quite running it yet - she's just in line to be the next honcho, starting in January. When that happens' I think life here is going to get... interesting.
Considering the vast pile of lies she and her AG partner in crime told during the campaign, and the fact that so few voters cared to verify whether they were true or not, I wonder, really, just what actually happened. Have they repaired and restarted their vote theft machine, or are there just that many Leftist foreigners holed up in urban areas of Northern Virginia who managed to override the rest of the state's votes?
Now that they are soon to be in power again, there has been a LOT of chatter about gerrymandering voting districts to give the Leftists a permanent advantage. The latest one I've seen will turn the entire state "leftist" as regards voting, except for the far southwestern corner which is still populated by freedom-loving hillbillies, and which does not contain enough votes to overcome the gerrymandering by itself - but also does not hold enough Leftist votes for them to be able to gerrymander it into the blue.
If that happens, I think the far southwestern corner should secede from Richmond, and attach itself to West Virginia. Let 'em have their Worker's Paradise, just take away the slaves and other resources in this area. About 5 years ago when the Left was trying to disarm everyone in Virginia but themselves, WV extended that offer, and there was talk of taking them up on it... but if Richmond permanently disenfranchises us by gerrymandering our voices at the ballot box away, then that talk should become action. Sure, we'd give up legal weed, but we'd also gain Constitutional concealed carry. What is more important than either of those is the fact that it's better to be poor, but free, than it is to still be poor, but enslaved.
Richmond, of course, will not let us go. They need their zoo full of poor folks to point at for their virtue-signalling, and then otherwise ignore us when we actually need something from them. They also need our mineral and natural resources to survive. I think there is a good chance that Richmond's unwillingness to let their zoo full of pets and the resources go, combined with our desires not to be slaves, could potentially lead to another miniature Civil War in Virginia until they let us go, or else we are all dead. I'm fine with either outcome, but not fine with maintaining the status quo of constant, encroaching, slavery.
While the state does have a National Guard they could throw at us, the area in question has a much higher proportion of war vets than the rest of the state to answer them with. Us hillbillies, whatever other faults we may have, take service and country seriously, so we tend to shoulder the burden while the Flatlanders are playing with each other at home and chasing a dollar.
And, Spanberger may be a former Spook, but she ain't the only former Spook in town - she's just the newest, most wet behind the ears former Spook. If they don't want to re-learn jungle warfare all over again after years of desert fighting, they'd best just let us go in peace.
But they won't. Seizing power always means you have to have someone to lord that power over... otherwise, your power seizure is meaningless.
