“Tonight our forces will break into the Gaza Strip.” This was the news given to IDF soldiers on November 1, 1956. After almost a decade of hostile activity from the Strip which led to the deaths of hundreds of Israelis, Israel was now taking the initiative. The Sinai Campaign, or “Operation Kadesh” as it is sometimes called, was a war initiated by Israel in the face of increasing cross-border terrorist actions by Palestinian groups known as the fedayeen. Once and for all, Israel hoped to put an end to the threat posed to the Israeli communities along the Gaza border. During the war, Israel succeeded – with French and British support – in taking over enormous tracts of land, including the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip.

Punishment Park (1971) written & directed by Peter Watkins. A highly controversial conspiracy thriller of the 1970s where Hollywood studios refused to distribute it.

In this fictional documentary, U.S. prisons are at capacity, and President Nixon declares a state of emergency. All new prisoners, most of whom are connected to the antiwar movement, are now given the choice of jail time or spending three days in Punishment Park, where they will be hunted for sport by federal authorities. The prisoners invariably choose the latter option, but learn that, between the desert heat and the brutal police officers, their chances of survival are slim.
A pseudo-documentary purporting to be a film crews's news coverage of the team of soldiers escorting a group of hippies, draft dodgers, and anti-establishment types across the desert in a type of capture the flag game. The soldiers vow not to interfere with the rebels' progress and merely shepherd them along to their destination. At that point, having obtained their goal, they will be released. The film crew's coverage is meant to insure that the military's intentions are honorable. As the representatives of the 60's counter-culture get nearer to passing this arbitrary test, the soldiers become increasingly hostile, attempting to force the hippies out of their pacifist behavior. A lot of this film appears improvised and in several scenes real tempers seem to flare as some of the "acting" got overaggressive.
Many of the "actors" were not acting in a traditional sense. In the introduction, Peter Watkins says many protesters were real-life protesters, and most soldiers were real-life conservatives. All improvised lines based on their opinions. There were no rehearsals.
Following production, Stan Armsted, much like his character was arrested and sentenced to three years in federal prison for attempting to bomb a police station.
Decades later in 2005, The Guardian wrote that "twenty-five years on, Peter Watkins's dystopian nightmare still grips, imagining hippies and radicals getting tortured for quasi-judicial sport by the National Guard".

Up until March, Saturn had 146 known moons, then astronomers discovered 128 new ones, bringing the ringed gas giant's total up to 274 moons—far beyond any other planet in our Solar System.
This is the choreography of their dance.
Discovery timeline: Saturn's moon count has grown rapidly due to improved telescopes and data analysis. In 2023–2024, astronomers (led by teams using the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope and Subaru Telescope) announced dozens of new irregular moons, pushing the total from ~83 (pre-2023) to 146.
Types of moons:
1 large spherical moon: Titan (larger than Mercury).
7 other major moons: Rhea, Iapetus, Dione, Tethys, Enceladus, Mimas, Hyperion.
138 smaller irregular moons: Mostly captured asteroids or fragments, often in retrograde orbits.
The 128 newly confirmed moons (mostly tiny, potato-shaped objects a few kilometers across, in distant retrograde orbits) were announced on March 11, 2025, via Minor Planet Electronic Circular (MPEC) 2025-E155. This pushed the total to 274, solidifying Saturn's lead over Jupiter (95 confirmed moons).
