The labor market has been clearly weakening the past 5 years; actually since 2016 in my personal hellish experience. Layoffs are a harsh reminder that stability in the modern world is often an illusion. The real reckoning will be when people realize this is not due to companies under stress but companies under AI optimization. OpenAI is laying the groundwork for an IPO valued at up to $1 TRILLION. This would be the 2nd biggest IPO in history, only behind Saudi Aramco.

MAGA-N = Microsoft-Apple-Google-Amazon-Nvidia in combined market asset value could pay off the US national debt. Nvidia’s market cap is now equal to a record 16% of US GDP. The AI bubble when it/if goes kaboom will be 10x of the Tsar Bomba. We can hope China goes boom first.
