My mate went to the rally and it's only recently that I got a chance to speak to him.
He estimated over a million to a million-and-a-half were there and he mentioned it was tough going to
walk due to the slowness of the march. Most just split off and went for a beer, but some were corralled
-because of general congestion, onto other bridges with Westminster Bridge being so packed.
It was on the southern side of the River Thames that some groups were 'kettled' into where anti-protests
were waiting, by the Police. My friend did say he witnessed the dickheads who tossed the bottle, but he said
it merely smashed on the road and nobody was harmed by it.
The mood was just like a group of middle-aged people taking a Sunday stroll and chatting about how their
leaders don't listen to them.
It's only an island if you look at it from the water.
