Nature's Yew berries are poisonous as they contain taxine alkaloids, which are toxic compounds found in all parts of the yew tree except the red, fleshy part of the berry. The seed inside the berry is lethal, and ingesting it can lead to serious health issues including fatal cardiac arrhythmias, seizures, and death. While the red flesh is safe to eat, the seed must be completely avoided, as it is poisonous even in small quantities. I'll avoid them entirely.
