Ah yes, the old "relax, it's just a weather balloon.... or maybe swamp gas..." ruse.
I've heard that it is "bigger than 3 busses", but given the fact that most commercial air traffic flies at around 24,000 to 30,000 feet (around 5 miles up), and "space" begins at 62 miles up, the altitude range is pretty large. So, to be seen from the ground, I'm guessing it's SIGNIFICANTLY "bigger than 3 busses"...
And they can't shoot it down because it might fall on someone's head? In MONTANA? Gimme a break! That's just another excuse. The ratio of acres of heads to acres of range land is vanishingly small in Montana.
