"Clip"????, Ninurta!!

I avoid that word like the plague!  Sorry, but I do!  I view a  "clip" as a 'paper'-"Clip" (or similar).  There is no such thing as a "clip" for a modern semi-auto, rifle or pistol!  It's really not a lot different than the "gun" vs. "weapon" discussion in the Marine Corps.

Again, sorry, man, just being honest.

The only time "clip" is sort-of acceptable, is when we're talking about "stripper clips" used in any number of older semi-auto rifles.  (Infernal damn things anyway!!)

"Older" semi-auto rifles? I have 1600 rounds of pure death already loaded on stripper clips for my AR, ready to go (in case the bears organize, and start using large-scale guerrilla tactics), and it was only made in 2016, I think, so it's not all that old. I also used stripper clips with my AK-74, also not that old... as dinosaurs go.

And "clip" alone is not the proper nomenclature. it must be juxtaposed and used in conjunction with other scary words, thusly - "1000 round clip magazine large capacity ammo feeding device ammo-case box thingy". Just saying "clip" is not scary enough for the modern age.

It's like one of those shoulder thingies that goes up. If you're too specific or make something actually identifiable, you're not being scary enough.

Plus, we must use big words and long sentences like that so that people know we are experts in the field, and can be trusted to properly scare inform them of factual realities.

It's for the children, you know.

The last rifle I owned that used clips proper - other than the stripper clips available for nearly all modern military firearms - was an Italian Carcano in 6.5 mm from WWII. It was bolt action, rather than semi auto. Come to think of it, Kennedy was assassinated by a Carcano, one that was acting alone, all by itself, without a human to intervene, because we all know that guns kill people, people don't kill people.

So, No, I was just kidding. I didn't have one of those deadly, president-killing bolt-action Carcanos. Honest!

Yep and stripper clips of 10 rounds each for the SKS.. Surprisingly I liked the SKS accuracy and feel even though the 7.62X39 ammo kinda sucks for any shot longer than ?? 125 yards ?? if accuracy is a concern.
