I'm not surprised. There were plenty of gays in the Nazi ranks. The SA was notorious for that; their leader, Röhm, was homosexual.
As for the "Christian" Nazis, I'm skeptical. Hitler's boys pushed hard on any church leaders who were brave enough to resist the pressure of the Reich. More than a couple of priests ended their lives in concentration camps.
The hard core of the Nazi movement wanted to see Paganism again become the faith of Germanic peoples in Europe.
Personally, I've no issue with pagans as long as they aren't wearing jackboots. (vink)
