Coined in 2025 by U.S. president Donald Trump, in reference to people panicking about the stock market's response to his trade tariffs. Popularised by Donald Trump's supporters. According to Trump, a "panican" is a "new party based on weak and stupid people" who are panicking because of his implementation of tariffs.
