I love the idea of a 3rd party, it remains to be seen if it can capture more than Ross Perot's 19% of the popular vote but zero electoral votes.

The 2 party system is entrenched; it will likely take major reform for the American Party to get a foothold in the two-party-dominated system.

Feels like it just would power up Congress' influence.
