In other "modified behavior", Russian threats of using nukes have practically disappeared since The Donald became president. And when off-his-Medsvedev brought up the topic, Trump made a point of commenting upon it on Truth Social, which in turn brought about a hasty "explanation" by Medvedev.
My working theory is that Iran was just "casting a wide net", looking for as many jumping-off points to base their bots as possible. Our relative obscurity on the internet stage may be, paradoxically, a bonus - who's gonna look for Propaganda Bots coming from such a dinky source?
Spammers in general have locked sights on us for some unfathomable reason. We get at least one, and often up to 5 or 6, joining attempts per day from spambots. The latest tactic, after we have defeated all the rest, is to try to gain an account with a link in the signature area to whatever it is they're spamming. Doesn't make sense, because if they don't actually post, the links don't actually show, unless you purposefully go looking for them by bringing up the spambot account. So why bother posting the links at all?
Don't go looking for those links, however - whenever I "purge spammer" an account, it removes their entire signature in the process, as well as banning the spambot and blocking their IP. So now, there are no links to see at all.
Over the last 2 weeks or so, Persian links so posted have completely disappeared and stopped trying, for some odd reason... thanks, IDF!
