"Don't leave any marks"
Here's a little known fact: you can thoroughly tenderize a man with a child's plastic wiffle-ball or T-ball bat, and never leave a mark.
Keep that firmly in mind, in case you ever need to know it.
Note on waterboarding: It's dangerous. While it is impossible to drown from the water - it only gives the victim the illusion of drowning - it can often provoke a vomiting reflex as the body attempts to forcefully clear an airway which isn't really blocked. There is nowhere for the vomit to go, however, except back into the victims own lungs, thus blocking an airway that was previously clear. Victims have been known to drown in their own vomit. That leaves a mark - vomit-clogged lungs. Not recommended.

“Trouble rather the tiger in his lair than the sage among his books. For to you kingdoms and their armies are things mighty and enduring, but to him they are but toys of the moment, to be overturned with the flick of a finger.”
