A little bit of fascism, hypercapitalism and isolationism does the mind, body and soul good. Provocative rhetoric and actions that flirt with authoritarianism without fully committing to a fascist system. However, the erosion of norms (defying courts, targeting media) risks a slide toward what Umberto Eco called an "Armageddon complex", where enemies are vilified to justify control, even if the end goal is less a fascist utopia and more a bunker-like, nativist America.
