Or....perhaps there has been outbursts of outrage and the media I follow haven't covered them? Several days ago, there was a Times article I can't find but is referenced here: https://freespeechunion.org/police-make-...-messages/
The times article indicates there's something like 30,000 people in jail for speech offenses. Its impossible to verify that, but even if it's only 50% correct, it's an absolute outrage.
Britain is a metaphorical tinderbox at the moment just one spark in England , Scotland or Wales will ignite protest or worse , there is a lot of anger toward the political class and what they have done to our Country , this current lot are a national emergency waiting to happen.
It wouldn't surprise me if that figure isn't far wrong , over 400 were imprisoned following the Southport disorder , it could be argued Tommy Robinson's imprisonment was also a "speech offence" although former Councillor Ricky Jones who on video called for the throats of the "far right" to be cut is still out and about with his trial pushed back to August from its original schedule of January.
Lucy Connolly quickly got nearly 3 years for writing then deleting a social media post , Jones still walks free for incitement to murder ... what a country.
