In the 21st century, Roseburg, Oregon is a town where kids leave as soon as they graduate high school, especially after 2009. Nice place to visit though. It was the Timber Capital of the Nation from late 30s through the 70s.

Johnny Cash mythologized Roseburg loggers in the 1960 song "Lumberjack”:
