It is tempting to think of something like 2001's scene involving the apes.
Perhaps very primitive humans were drawn to some bright light and became the very first to receive a soul from the Source.
A sudden wind picked up as -something- entered our space-time from another reality and displaced a lot of air. Two hunter-gatherers on what would later be called 'picket duty' spotted an intense light -- far more intense than fire or lightning. With great fear, they slowly approached. Later, they woke up in the bush with the light no longer to be seen ...
