Frederick Gary Dutton was Special Assistant to President JFK, who discovered the existence of the Eisenhower Ten letters and then notified McGeorge Bundy. Bundy's Skull & Bones nickname was "Odin" and was the Pentagon's point man for the Manhattan project. "The Eisenhower Ten" (E-10) aka Continuity of government. The faction of the 'deep state' that has now taken over and apparently guides (some say controls) Trump is really not much different than those who assumed power after taking out JFK. Trump's personal lawyer, Roy Cohn back in the 70s-80s was part of that faction borne out of the 1950s. So, between Cohn and Nixon, and his Uncle John, there is no doubt that Trump knows about some of the inner deep workings. What's playing out today on the World's stage is kinda like Lord of the Rings, and AI is that ring.
Born Feb 12, 1915, Eisenhower adviser and Cold War Continuity of Government architect, General Andrew Jackson Goodpaster.
Trivia: His code name during Operation Alert 1955 was "Trump". And we know DJT's favorite general is Andrew Jackson. LOL.

With Iron Mountain (@IronMountain) in the news of late, a reminder that it was originally called Iron Mountain Atomic Storage Corporation.

In the 21st century when I was working on classified engineering tech projects we used Iron Mountain to shred as well as store all our R&D papers that were deemed no longer of use and/or the corporation wanted them stored for all eternity.
Long before Ted Gup, there was another eager TIME reporter digging for a COG scoop. Based on an archive search, it doesn't look like Lansing Lamont (1930-2013) ever got one. But he did go on to write DAY OF TRINITY (1965) about the birth of the atomic bomb.

The Senate has confirmed Tulsi Gabbard to serve as director of national intelligence by a vote of 52-48. Former Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was the only old relic Republican to break ranks and vote against Gabbard's nomination. All other Republicans voted for Gabbard and all Democrats voted against her. But of course.

According to news reports, The United States is preparing to return cybercrime kingpin Alexander Vinnik to Russian custody as part of an exchange for American Marc Fogel, according to a US official. The owner and operator of one of the world’s largest currency exchanges, Vinnik was allegedly instrumental in facilitating the transfer of billions for criminals across the globe, supporting drug trafficking rings, ransomware attacks, and the corruption of public officials.
As part of the deal, Vinnik is forfeiting $100 million of his criminal proceeds, an official said.
So, they literally traded The Merovingian for some random guy who smoked a joint. Surely, there is more to this prisoner swap deal.

Happy Wednesday obscure words. Are you in a panglossian mood? No? Good. Yes? Beware, you might be living in a dwimmer.

At the risk of further hoity-toity, the word panglossian traces back to Voltaire’s classic satire, Candide (1759). A smash synopsis: Candide and his enthused adventuring companions stumble from satirically bad events to ever worse, no matter what anyone plans next. Candide's friend and tutor, Pangloss, philosophizes away each non-stop disaster: syphilis, violence, loss of personal freedom, as evidence of that larger plan cooking along fine. Our universe, as perfectly created, must always run to perfection.
Wrong. Sometimes, things suck. Sometimes, things are flat terrible, and somebody needs to do something about it right damn now. Pangloss couldn't grasp that because he couldn't acknowledge flat terrible things. Trapped in his circular pathology, Pangloss never took obvious steps to avert his next disaster.
