This reminds me of the time, about 15 years ago when Comcast war-drivers would cruise the neighborhoods in a van with dark tinted windows looking for "open" WiFi access points. If you had one they sent you a letter mandating you put a password on it or kiss your Internet good-bye. When they came around again and you still had it open they would cut your Internet connection. The only way to get it your connection back is you had to call them, arrange for a tech support guy to come out, teach you how to apply a password. Of course you got billed for the tech support call too!
