Wonder if Riggs still has any of the original secret paperwork.
Riggs Distler is part of Centuri Group, Inc., a strategic infrastructure services company that partners with regulated utilities to build and maintain the energy network that powers millions of homes and businesses across the U.S. and Canada.

AKA "News Report on a Journey to a Bright Future". Filmed in Perth Australia by German director Rainer Erler (1933-2023; died in Perth, Australia), with Austrian and Australian actors, and first shown in West Germany, 1986, then in East Germany 1988. Never had a theater release anywhere else.

This is an ITV-dubbed version which seems to have been shorn of half an hour, judging by the running time listed here. However, as the basic premise - Aussie journalist sticks his nose too far into a mystery surrounding the consignment of some nuclear waste on its way to Oz - is rendered with as much paranoiac hysteria as the vague recollection that you may have left your change on the counter at the local corner shop; truncation is clearly a blessing. Feb 4, 2004: the Pentagon (specifically, DARPA) Kills LifeLog Project.
As fate would have it, that same day – February 4, 2004 – was the day that Facebook (then, TheFacebook; became Facebook in 2005) launched at Harvard. That is a weird coincidence that Aaron Sorkin didn’t mention in the movie version, but it’s probably nothing. DARPA's "Total Information Awareness" of course denied having any connection.
An ambitious effort to build a database tracking a person's entire existence from cradle to grave. Run by DARPA, the Defense Department's research arm, LifeLog aimed to gather in a single place just about everything an individual says, sees or does: the phone calls made, the TV shows watched, the magazines read, the plane tickets bought, the e-mail sent and received to mapping relationships, memories, events and experiences.
DARPA Solicitation Bid
Like their cohorts at Google, Facebook surely seems to be hiring from the intelligence community at a rapid pace. Recruiting from agencies including the CIA, FBI, NSA, ODNI, as well as other government departments including DOJ, DHS, and GEC, Facebook’s parent company, Meta, has hired more than 160 former intelligence employees since 2018. Collectively, many of these employees are involved in the so-called Trust & Safety team (naturally) determining what content gets amplified, fact-checked, and/or taken down entirely.
DARPA’s Lifelog project manager, Data (played by Brent Spiner) "experienced ongoing difficulties during the early years of his life with understanding various aspects of human behavior and was unable to feel emotion or understand certain human idiosyncrasies."

Sen Schumer says: "This is just the beginning...If DOGE attacks USAID today, you can be sure they'll move on to another target tomorrow — maybe the Postal service or IRS or Social Security Administration or even our national security agencies next!" Oh no, whatever are we going to do?!
At his Manhattan office, Schumer tied the tariffs to next Sunday's Super Bowl by holding up an avocado, a lime and a can of Corona Extra beer as examples of consumer items that could soar in price to make up for Mexico's increased expenditure. So much stupid theater it's insane.

Trump proposes the USA takeover Gaza!! How this going to work? Who knows.

President Trump on securing PEACE in Gaza: "The U.S. will take over the Gaza strip ... and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site ... create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area... You have to learn from history. You can't keep doing the same mistake over and over again."
President Trump Holds a Press Conference with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel - Starts at 1 hr mark:
I call this Continuity of Agenda. A new form of Build Back Better with a different USAID branding. I guess if it (whatever plan they have in the playbook) ends the carnage after 2,000 years then so be it. In 10-20 years it could become the most advanced 'Smart City' in the world.
Aside from where all that $$$$$$$ is going to come from, WHO ACTUALLY OWNS the GAZA territory??
I'm too lazy to spend hours researching for a straight answer so I asked Grok. The short answer: Nobody actually knows but Israel is sovereign over the Gaza Strip.
Summary:
The ownership and control of Gaza are complex and contentious issues, often debated in political, legal, and humanitarian contexts.
The question of who "owns" Gaza does not have a straightforward answer due to the political and military realities on the ground. From a legal standpoint, Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories, but in practice, its governance is split between Hamas, which controls the internal aspects, and Israel, which controls external access and key infrastructure. The situation is further complicated by international law, human rights concerns, and the ongoing blockade.
In summary, while Hamas governs the day-to-day life in Gaza, Israel maintains significant control over its borders, resources, and security environment, leading to a situation where neither fully "owns" Gaza in the traditional sense of sovereignty.
