I firmly believe that Mother Nature, AKA this planet, can handle anything we throw at her and more. The problem is when we overwhelm it. Like the plastic situation.
This fungus has probably been around forever. And I would bet they have known about its abilities before Chernobyl. I'm guessing they are weaponizing it, if possible.
It won't end well for us humans.
