Jan 12, 1922: HMS Victory fired her final salute afloat before entering permanent dry dock at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, England. The Royal Navy had considered scrapping Nelson's flagship in 1903 but King Edward VII intervened to save her. Commissioned in March 1778, today, Victory is the oldest commissioned warship in the world.

Say what you will about Sen McCarthy, granted he was a alcoholic nutcase on Reds but he was the first & only person to date that came the closest to blowing the whole lid off the top secret UFO program including Roswell. Hence, the reason the US Army launched the smear campaign against him, ultimately leading to his early suspicious death.
