Dec 16, 1966: USS Lapon (SSN 661) was launched. The Sturgeon-class submarine, commanded by Chester "Whitey" Mack, made the famous 1969 Cold War patrol depicted in "Blind Man’s Bluff" where she famously shadowed a Soviet Yankee-class (SSBN) ballistic missile submarine for a period of 47 days undetected for an entire patrol.




Like I said the other day, it's all about getting that counter-UAS legislation passed. Military creates a crisis, congress turns the fed money flow on and funnels down to local state/LEOs so they can buy those new fancy anti-drone blaster guns...
