Tactical error. Whomever leaked this to the public should be the first to go.
While it's true that multiple moles and departments have to be gotten rid of to prevent a replay of the first Trump administration eating itself as it did, screeds like this (and the one released by one of Trump's lawyers directed against Leticia James) being released to the public are not doing his side any favors. The Trump administration cannot appear to be vindictive in it's quest to clean house, especially not from it's own words! It HAS to appear righteous rather than vindictive in the public eye.
That just gives their opponents too much fodder for the propaganda mill. It makes it too easy for them to spin themselves up as the victims. It could jeopardize the efforts to clean this mess up by giving them just the ammunition they need to cast Trump in a vindictive light and sway public opinion in America against him and his administration.
Releasing things like this means that someone is working against the cleanup already, and that someone has to be in the inner circle and needs to be rooted out and sent packing.
Crowing like a Bantam rooster about a well-deserved victory is one thing, but leveling threats against political opponents while you're doing so is something else altogether. It gives them ammo for a pre-emptive strike to cast you in a bad light before you can even really get started cleaning things up.
