One thing I realized about the internet years ago is that the instant connectivity gave like minded groups around the world the ability to coordinate a common approach. Thus, we see leftists in many western countries all pushing an identical agenda, no matter how mismatched it may be with that country's culture and traditions.
But I now realize this has also taken place across governments. The technology allows everybody in a government to be brought onto the same sheet of music. There are no more productive differences in outlook or approach; it is "da narratif" we constantly hear and are sick of hearing. This, in turn, has resulted in official views that are held very narrow by ideological blinders and increasingly ineffective in terms of governance.
