Walkie-talkies and solar equipment exploded in Beirut and multiple parts of Lebanon on Wednesday in an apparent second wave of attacks targeting electronic devices a day after hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah blew up, state media and Hezbollah officials said. At least nine people were killed and more than 300 people wounded in the second wave, the Health Ministry said.

The AR-924 pagers used by the Hezbollah militants were manufactured by BAC Consulting KFT, based in Budapest, Hungary, according to a statement released Wednesday by Gold Apollo, a Taiwanese firm that authorized the use of its brand on the pagers.

The walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah that exploded across Lebanon today were purchased by the terror group some five months ago, around the same time as the pagers that exploded yesterday, Reuters reports, citing a security source. Apparently they didn’t learn the first time which was literally yesterday. You’d think they’d connect the dots.
Dozens of people are reported wounded in the latest blasts.

The Syrian-Druze journalist Feisal Al-Qassem wrote: "What happened today to Hezbollah can be classified as the most fantastic pre-emptive strike in modern history. It can be compared to Israel's pre-emptive strike on the Egyptian Air Force before the Six-Day War.
Today, Hezbollah has thousands of brand new disabled fighters, and if they enter the war now, its wounded will not even find one free bed in the hospitals in Lebanon because the hospitals are now bursting with injured.
Even worse - Hezbollah has lost its security and military means of communication."
