The never ending story...
The FBI just released a mostly redacted (they only released 7 pages of the 23-page report, and most are heavily redacted) 2019 report from its Behavioral Analysis Unit which argued reported cases of Havana Syndrome were the result of a mass psychogenic illness.

F.B.I. Releases Redacted Report on Havana Syndrome
It appears the report was obtained by the New York Times through a lawsuit. The FBI rejected a FOIA request by an individual researcher who put through for the same report in 2022, stating it was exempt from disclosure.

This is notable because the FBI has since walked back its conclusions in this report. Beginning in 2021, FBI agents suddenly started coming down with Havana Syndrome like it was a variant of Covid. (The initial reporters to cover this had ties to the CIA and State Department.)
If interested, here's the partial heavily redacted report obtained by the NY Times.
New Yorker, July 2021: The FBI found no evidence Havana Syndrome exists and initially stated victims were suffering from a mass psychogenic illness, but backed down upon pressure by the State Department.

Newsy, 2022: FBI agents now have Havana Syndrome.

Exclusive: FBI Agents In The U.S. Report Symptoms Of Mystery Syndrome
If you don't believe Havana Syndrome is a psychological operation at this point, I don't know what to tell you.
This story isn't necessarily new. NBC first reported on the possibility in November of last year.
FBI acknowledges some agents may have Havana Syndrome symptoms "After NBC News obtained internal emails, the FBI publicly acknowledged for the first time that some employees may have symptoms of Havana Syndrome." (Nov. 24, 2021 / Updated Nov. 27, 2021)
The question to ask here: why is Newsy, a relatively minor news outlet, breaking this story and not the NY Times or NBC?
LOL, the journalist here (Sasha Ingber) is an ex State Department employee who acted as editor on a project countering "Russian disinformation".

Newsy gave themselves an award for "innovation" in 2019 for a collaboration with Bellingcat. (E.W. Scripps owns Newsy.)
So, now we believe the FBI again?
In a case where nothing is at stake and they're pitted against the CIA, an agency they notoriously do not get along with and would love nothing more than to make look foolish? Also where their review lines up with all available scientific evidence? Yes, sometimes, skeptically.
Earlier this year, an anonymous FBI agent claimed she had been afflicted with the illness after interviewing an alleged Russian spy.
The alleged Russian military intelligence officer, assigned to Unit 74455 is Vitalii Sergeevich Kovalev. Despite the fact that 60 Minutes says he died in 2023, if you file a FOIA to FBI it will be DENIED.

There was a CIA bureau chief & a State Dept chief who said it was fake at the start and was immediately removed.
