The Betz Sphere

Maybe some of you have heard of this Sphere..

In the spring of 1974, a large brush fire swept across the property owned by Antoine and Jerry Betz. While assessing the damage, they found something unusual. In the smoldering grass lay a highly polished metal sphere, later known as the Betz Sphere or the Betz Orb.

I remember this one. 
Seems like the gubermemt came and took it from them. Then gave it back saying it was some ball bearing, or another lame explanation. 

If memory serves me, there have been a few cases of these mysterious spheres. The spheres have been different sizes from about the size of a baseball, and up to the size of a small car.
