July 26, 1959: Lt. Col. William Rankin ejected from his F-8 Crusader at 47,000 ft and fell through a thunderstorm cloud. He then spent 40 minutes being whipped around as lightning bolts shot by him. He suffered immediate frostbite, and decompression caused his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth to bleed. His abdomen swelled severely. He did, however, manage to make use of his emergency oxygen supply. His parachute opened prematurely where God took him for a wild ride. He eventually landed in a forest, noting his watch read 6:40 pm. It had been 40 minutes since he had ejected. His next ordeal was searching for help and eventually was taken to a hospital at Ahoskie, North Carolina. He returned to active duty shortly thereafter. WTF!? Only a Marine could have possibly survived riding thunder for 40 minutes, in minus 50F air & free falling into a forest!

Hobbs has committed similar acts in other places, like New York, and he was sued but never arrested. On the bright side he now gets the free housing he was looking for, but on the flip-side 40 years is a waste of tax dollars. Deport to Gaza would be cheaper.
