I know that I spend way too much time on the Internet and on my cellphone.
When I was working and volunteering I felt my online time was more balanced.
After my stroke, during my recovery, and while not working and doing my volunteer work, my cellphone time has really escalated.
Even I know it, and I am uncomfortable with it.
I can't blame the Internet, I can't even blame the stroke. The only person I can blame is myself, and the choices I made.
I am going to try the cold turkey thing. I will have to keep my phone with me, in case I fall and can't get up.
I am going to try using my phone for phone calls only for one whole week.
I will let you know how it works out next Tuesday around 10 am. I cancelled my home Internet on May 11th. So I will be going the full disconnect. I will be going dark until then
I know I will miss communicating with my fellow Rogues, and browsing TOS, but I think it is a much needed disconnect.
See you in a week. God willing and the creek doesn't rise.
Sad to hear. I do not have a cell phone or mobile phone. Just a landline and live off this flamin laptop;. Wanted to go cold turkey but I use this medium and don't watch TV. Like watching You tube vids.
Keep in touch.
Kind regards,
