What has me pondering, is looking at a video showing the level of one-upsmanship that some folks are going to for their children's prom. Wasted money that would go a long way towards starting them out on a solid footing, and perhaps set a strong foundational footing for their children, instead of throwing away a ridiculous amount of money for a few hours.
Then I started thinking about some folk that I know, and though a large amount of money for many, it is just a drop in the bucket for them.
Their children have never wanted for anything and are likely never will want for anything.
So what happens when you have everything? When you are in complete control?
What happens when there is nothing left to desire?
Do you you then strive to be God?
Just a thought.
